AGM 2011 - news update

The AGM of Clonmel Credit Union Ltd occurred on the 7th December 2011.

Key points are - Approval for payment of 1.25% Share Diovidend & 7.5% loan interest rebate.

The New President elected for 2011/12 is Mr Seamus Moore,

Vice President elected is Mr Andrew Bourke

Secretary is Mrs Marie Moloney

Treasurer Is Mr Jimmy Ahearne

Photography Competition August 2011

Clonmel Credit Union is delighted to announce the 2011 Photography competition in association with the Alliance of Tipperary Credit Unions and the  Tipperary Libraries.

Closing date 31st August 2011

Prize fund €1,200

Theme - Gardens and Parks of Tipperary.

Rules - A copy of the rules are available on request in each of the Credit Union offices.

Pictures can be submitted electronically to mytipperary@gmail.com or in hard copy and disc to any of the Creedit Union or Branch Libraries across the county.

All entries must be accompanied by contact details and a brief discription of the photograph.

Clonmel Credit Union is delighted to introduce the new ATM CU Cash Card to our members. The new ATM cash card can be used anytime, day or night to withdraw money from your ATM Credit Union Account or to check balances. We have called it CU Cash because quite simply it is your credit union cash that you are withdrawing.

Results 2011

CLONMEL CREDIT UNION LTD ANNUAL RESULTS 2011

For nearly half a century Clonmel Credit Union has been at the heart of this community, meeting the ever changing needs of its 24,000+ membership. Alice Twomey , President is pleased to advise that Clonmel Credit Union continues to operate very successfully, again reporting a surplus for 2011. The Board will be recommending a Dividend of 1.25% and asn interest rebate of 7.5% to the members at its AGM to be held on the 7th December 2011.

The Credit Union also strenghtened its reserves by a massive €4.9m to €20.2m during the year. The Regulatory Reserves now stand at 14.91% of the assets.

The Credit Union also increased its Provisions so that they now stand at €11.3m - this is additional security if the even of any loan defaults.

7,950 new loans were issued during the year amounting to €18.7m.
