€12K Student Bursary Award Scheme 2026

Attention 6th Year students – applications are now open for the 2026 Clonmel Credit Union Student Bursary Award.

What would €2,000 mean to you? A new laptop, help with accommodation, or a contribution towards your fees?

Clonmel Credit Union is now accepting applications for its Student Bursary Award Scheme 2026, offering six bursaries of €2,000 each for local Leaving Certificate students heading to third-level education in autumn 2026.

Now in its third year, the scheme recognises that the cost of college, from €6,000 to over €15,000 per year for students living away from home, is a real challenge. This bursary is designed to ease that pressure so students can focus on their studies.

Who can apply?

To be eligible, you must:

• Be a sixth-year student at CBS High School Clonmel, Presentation Secondary School, Loreto Clonmel, Patrician Presentation Fethard, Gaelcholáiste Chluain Meala, or any school within our 32km catchment area
• Be enrolling in a full-time third-level course in autumn 2026
• Be a member of Clonmel Credit Union (not yet a member? Join here)
• Applications open on 8th May. The closing date is 8th August

Six winners will be selected by an independent panel, announced on our website and social pages, and invited to our awards ceremony in early September.
