Scoring for a Cause: "Goals That Give" Raises Funds for South Tipperary Hospice

On a sunny Saturday, 20th September, Clonmel Town FC was buzzing with excitement for the inaugural "Goals That Give" fundraiser. This one-day charity soccer tournament, organised by Clonmel Credit Union, brought together players, supporters, and volunteers for a fantastic cause: the South Tipperary Hospice Movement.

Local businesses and community organisations laced up their boots, forming dozens of teams to compete and raise vital funds for hospice care services in the region. The atmosphere was a hive of activity, with players battling it out on the pitches and a real sense of community spirit filling the air.

A huge thank you goes out to all the contributors who made the day a success. Clonmel Town FC generously provided the pitches and referees, ensuring the tournament ran smoothly. Sureprint sponsored the posters that promoted the event, while Glenpatrick Spring Water kept everyone hydrated throughout the afternoon. For those working up an appetite, Bodega 1830 served up delicious burgers and hotdogs. The beats of DJ Owen Lonergan kept the energy high and updated everyone on the day's results. And a special shout-out to the Civil Defence for being on hand to help.
